Local management of a Server Core installation is primarily performed from the command prompt. Server Core does include a few graphical user interface (GUI) tools, such as Registry Editor and Notepad, but you have to perform most configuration and management tasks using command-line tools and scripts when you are managing a Server Core installation locally.
