Understanding TS RemoteApps Internals

TS RemoteApps work a little differently from applications displayed from a full remote desktop, because they must integrate with the locally installed applications. In essence, the server sends the entire desktop to the client. The client-side components create their own application windows to mirror those in the remote session.

Chapter 3, explains the processes and startup mechanism for a remote session. With TS RemoteApps, the process is a little different; the client and server must be even more closely aligned (see Figure 6-1). When a client computer launches its first TS RemoteApp, it works as illustrated in Figure 6-1.
