Server Work Queues\Available Threads

The Available Threads reports the number of threads from the per-processor Server Work Queue that are available to process incoming SMB requests. When the number of available threads reaches 0, incoming SMB requests must be queued. This is the primary indicator for identifying if the number of work threads defined for the per-processor Server Work queues is a potential bottleneck.

The MaxThreadsPerQueue registry DWORD value located at HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\lanmanserver\parameters controls the number of threads that are created in the per-processor thread pools.
