Difference in Managing Windows 2000 GPOs

GPMC may be used to manage four different Windows 2000 scenarios:

  • A Windows 2000 domain

  • A Windows 2000 domain in a forest that has been upgraded to the Windows Server 2003 schema but that has no Windows Server 2003 domain controllers

  • A Windows 2000 functional domain with at least one Windows Server 2003 domain controller

  • A Windows Server 2003 functional domain
