Investigating Hardware Issues

Hardware issues are not always hardware related. Most electronic equipment lasts a very long time if operated within its performance matrix. If the device is going to fail, it will usually do so during the first few weeks of operation. This period of time is known as the burn-in phase. After the burn-in phase, the device should operate OK. Of course, this does not say anything about the software that is required to make the device function properly.
