Summary

In this chapter we examined issues surrounding printing. When working with printers, the task begins with the printer drivers. Indeed, you can't print to a print device if you don't have the appropriate printer driver. Printer drivers come from two places: They are either included in Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008 or they are supplied directly from the hardware manufacturer either through the Internet or included in the box with the print device. In either case, the driver must be loaded onto the Windows platform. After examining the issues surrounding printer driver deployment, we moved into the arena of sharing print devices.
