Tiles and Lock Screen
Tiles are the entry point to a Windows Phone application. Windows Phone 8 provides 3 tile templates that you can use to add flair to their application. Each tile template must define the appearance of a tile for each of the 3 available sizes (small, medium, large), which will be visible when a Windows Phone 8 app is pinned to a user’s start screen.
