Auto-Launching with a File Extension Association
File associations allow your app to automatically launch when the user attempts to open a file of a particular type, or when another app requests the OS to open a file.
A file could come from a variety of sources including the following:
An email attachment
A link on a website via the phone’s web browser
A Near Field Communications (NFC) tag
Another installed app
