Using the Pivot Control

The Pivot can be used for displaying combinations of controls, user controls, and even other pages. The Pivot plays host to individual pages of content called PivotItems. A PivotItem control is analogous to an individual tab and is responsible for displaying the content within a page. Only one PivotItem is displayed at a time. Flicking or panning left to right on the page, or tapping a PivotItem’s header, advances to the next page of content.

The Pivot supports the following gestures and navigational effects:
