Modifying the Application Bar’s Appearance

The ApplicationBar’s foreground (text and icon color) can be modified using its ForegroundColor property. By default this value is set to the PhoneForegroundColor application resource. For more information on built-in color styles, see http://bit.ly/xC8vgo.

The Background color property determines the background of the entire control. By default this value is set to the PhoneChromeColor application resource.

The Opacity property determines the level of transparency of the application bar’s background. It does not affect the foreground, nor any icons present. Its value can range from 0 to 1, with 1 being completely opaque (the default value), and 0 being completely transparent.
