In November 2006, Microsoft launched Zune, a portable music and video player that provided a unique and fun way to listen to and watch media on the go. Along with the physical Zune devices, Microsoft also released the Zune software. This software enabled users to manage their media and connect with others, a feature Microsoft called Zune Social.
