Conclusion

This chapter has reviewed the code required to implement ActiveSync capability in your application. Not all of the code for the device or desktop implementations is shown in this chapter. You will need to carefully review the code supplied on the CDROM to see how it all fits together. Implementing ActiveSync is a long job that requires a broad range of skills and knowledge, including Windows CE Property Database and COM knowledge. It is also difficult to debug. Therefore, implementing ActiveSync will require careful design, planning, and implementation. Working with ActiveSync is, nevertheless, easier than writing your own synchronization code.
