A Tour of the Internet Explorer Screen

When you crank up Internet Explorer, you see the Internet Start Web page, which will be similar to the one shown in Figure 33.1. (The content of this page changes from day to day.) This first page that appears is called the home page.

Here's a summary of the main features of this screen:

Title bar: The top line of the screen shows you the title of the current Web page.

Standard buttons: These toolbar buttons give you point-and-click access to some of Internet Explorer's main features.
