Working with Dial-Up Networking Settings

Dial-Up Networking has a few settings that apply to all your connectoids. To get to these settings, select Connections | Settings to display the Dial-Up Networking properties sheet shown in Figure 30.13. Here are your options:

Show an icon on taskbar after connected: If you deactivate this check box, Dial-Up Networking doesn't display its icon in the system tray.

Prompt for information before dialing: If you deactivate this check box, Dial-Up Networking won't display the Connect To dialog box, shown earlier in Figure 30.11. If you never need to change the connection settings, deactivating this check box will give you one less dialog box to negotiate when connecting.
