Connecting to the Remote Network
You're now ready to connect to the dial-up server. Dial-Up Networking gives you various ways to proceed:
- Open the connectoid icon in the Dial-Up Networking folder.
- Highlight the icon and select Connections | Connect.
- Right-click the icon and select Connect from the context menu.
STARTING A CONNECTION FROM THE COMMAND LINE
You can start a Dial-Up Networking connection from the Run dialog box, the DOS command prompt, or a batch file by using the following command syntax:
rundll rnaui.dll,RnaDial connectoid
Here, connectoid is the name of the connectoid you want to run. For example, to start a connection named LAN Server, you enter the following command:
rundll rnaui.dll,RnaDial LAN Server
