Working at the DOS Prompt
After you have your DOS session up and running, you can work with it more or less as you've always worked with DOS. You can run commands and DOS programs, create and launch batch files, perform file maintenance, and so on. If you're used to working with DOS 6.x, you'll find that the Windows 98 DOS brings a few extra goodies to the command prompt. The next few sections highlight some of the more useful ones.
DOS DELETIONS ARE DELETED!
When you're working at the DOS prompt, be warned that any files you delete aren't sent to the Recycle Bin, but are purged from your system.
