Introduction

Windows 8 represents the most radical departure from previous versions of Windows since the introduction of Windows 95. Windows 95 made Windows come alive by adding the Internet. Windows 8 pays homage to an increasingly mobile world by adding a new application model and a touch-oriented interface. This might come as a shock to many users of previous Windows versions, but Windows 8 is easy to use, and in many ways it is a more refined version of what has gone before.
