Airplane Mode
When you’re not using your device’s Wi-Fi or cellular data connection, you can extend the device’s battery life (and avoid a confrontation with a flight attendant) by turning on Airplane mode, which disables the data radio. To turn Airplane mode on or off, open the Settings charm and select the network icon at the bottom. The Airplane Mode switch is at the top of the Networks panel, but only on mobile devices such as laptops and tablets.
