Managing Mobile Computers

Portable computers come in an ever-increasing variety and go by many names: laptops, notebooks, netbooks, slates, pads, and tablets. They are no longer an expensive perk provided only to jet-setting executives. They’re now standard equipment for most people who work at least part time away from their office, and consumers now buy more portable computers than desktops for home and personal use. Consequently, portables have become powerful and inexpensive, and support for their special needs by Windows has grown considerably.
