Handwriting Gestures

You can edit recognized text displayed in the Handwriting Input panel using simple pen gestures:

Correcting—To change entered text, tap the pen (or mouse or your finger) on the converted text. The letters slide apart, as shown in Figure 35.4. You can replace the selected word by choosing an alternative spelling from the word displayed above the letters. The v-shaped symbol lets you add an unrecognized word to the dictionary. The x-shaped × symbol ends correction mode. You can also remove and add letters using the deleting, splitting, and joining gestures.
