Protect Your Email Address

The best way to avoid getting on spammers’ lists is to share your email address only when necessary and only with the trusted few. One of the simplest ways that information is inadvertently shared is bad email etiquette. When a single email is sent to multiple people, it’s best to use the Bcc field and keep the names out of the To and Cc lines. The exception to this rule is when you are on a private network, such as a corporate email system, where the email will not generally travel over the Internet unprotected.
