Start with the basics: The Windows 8 tiled SkyDrive app doesn’t do justice to SkyDrive, Microsoft’s online storage service that enables you to keep files on the web and synchronize them among several devices.
To get any real use out of SkyDrive — beyond very simple interactions — you have to flip over to the desktop and run the SkyDrive application. And you won’t really see it all put together until you get on SkyDrive using your web browser.
In this chapter, I show you the limited things you can do with Microsoft’s tiled SkyDrive app. But I also show you the rest of the story, by jumping over to the desktop side of things and then digging directly into SkyDrive with a web browser.
