8.4. Protect Your Contacts by Creating a Backup Copy

You can create a backup copy of your contacts. If you have a problem with the contacts in the future, you can restore your contacts from the backup copy.

Windows Live Contacts is handy for storing e-mail addresses of people you correspond with regularly. Instead of remembering complex e-mail addresses, you simply type or select the person's name when composing a new message. However, the usefulness of Windows Live Contacts extends far beyond e-mail. For each contact, you can also store data such as his or her home and business addresses, phone, fax, and cell numbers, spouse and children's names, gender, birthday, and more.
