5.3. Open Your Images for Editing by Default

You can configure Windows 7 to always open an image file in a graphics program for editing when you double-click the file.

For most document types, when you doubleclick a file, the file opens in an appropriate program for editing. For example, if you double-click a text document, Windows 7 opens the file in the Notepad text-editing program. Similarly, if you double-click a Rich Text Format document, the file opens in WordPad or Word depending on your computer's settings.
