11.8. Configure Touch Input in Windows 7

If your notebook PC comes with a touch screen, you can configure Windows 7 to use touch input.

On a notebook that comes with a touch display, touch input refers to using your finger to interact with the objects on the screen in much the same way that you would use your mouse. That is, you can use your finger to tap an object to select it; double-tap an object to activate it; and tap-and-drag an object to move it. To use these gestures, the flicks discussed in the next task (see "Use Flicks to Scroll Documents"), and the Snipping Tool (see "Capture Part of the Screen with the Snipping Tool"), you must configure touch input in Windows 7.
