You can add a potentially dangerous Web site to Internet Explorer's Restricted Sites security zone to make your Web surfing sessions safer.

Web pages can contain small programs, scripts, and other so-called active content. This active content is designed to offer you a more lively and interactive experience. However, dangers are associated with such content, just as with any remote program that runs on your computer. For example, some scripts can access the data on your hard drive. Fortunately, the vast majority of sites that use such content do so responsibly and safely.
