A screen saver animates your screen with pictures or graphics moving across your screen when your computer is on but idle. A Screen saver serves several purposes.

  • It helps safeguard your privacy by hiding what is on your screen when you are away from your desk.
  • It can work with your power management settings to reduce power use when your computer is on but inactive.
  • It can display a custom message.
  • It can display a slide show of your favorite pictures.
