Applying Parental Controls

Assigning your kids to Standard user accounts is just part of the solution to control access to the computer. Standard user accounts control what programs can be installed and can help prevent or minimize attacks by malicious downloads, programs, or web sites. Parental Controls can be applied to games, the amount of time the computer can be used, and what programs can be used. Most games carry ratings to help you determine if the content is acceptable and age-appropriate. Parental Control settings that can be applied to games include:
