3.3. Summary

In this chapter, you learned about both the command prompt and Windows PowerShell. There are many similarities between the two, and both are heavily used by administrators. The biggest reason why people take the time learn these tools is so that they can write or modify scripts.

Anything that can be executed from the command line can be scripted. Anything that can be scripted can be automated through tools such as the Task Scheduler. Once you get comfortable with some scripting and start writing your own scripts, you'll realize that there are very few limitations on what you can do.
