Understand that wireless connection settings on the Windows 7 computer must match those on the wireless devices. Security is very important with wireless. Windows 7 supports WEP, WPA, and WPA2. WEP should be avoided. WPA2 is the strongest. WPA-Personal and WPA2-Personal use a pre-shared key. WPA-Enterprise and WPA2-Enterprise use an 802.1x server for authentication. WPA2-Enterprise with smart card authentication provides the best protection.
