Synopsis

Control settings for the Workstation service.

Syntax

net config workstation [/charcount:bytes] [/chartime:msec] 
[/charwait:sec]

Options

none

Shows current settings.

/charcount: bytes

Number of bytes buffered before sending data to a COM device. (The default is 16, and the allowed range is 0-65,535.) If /chartime:msec is specified, then the first one satisfied is used.

/chartime: msec

Time in milliseconds data is buffered before sending it to a COM device. (The default is 250, and the allowed range is 0-65,535,000.) If /charcount:bytes is specified, then the first one satisfied is used.

/charwait: sec

The maximum time Windows 2000 waits for a COM device to become available when it has data to send. (The default is 3,600, and the allowed range is 0-65,535.)
