Synopsis

Installs and configures scanners and digital cameras.

To Launch

  • Start → Settings → Control Panel → Scanners and Cameras

  • Command interpreter → control sticpl.cpl

Description

Scanners and Cameras is a property sheet with only one tab, Devices, which can be used to install and configure a scanner or digital camera. The installation wizard automatically tries to detect the device using Plug and Play first. If this fails, you can select it from a list or supply a driver disk. Once the device is installed, you can open a property sheet to configure it (settings vary with device).

Notes

You must be a member of the Administrators group to use this utility.
