Synopsis
Manages and monitors processes and sessions on the terminal server.
Description
This tool is only available when Terminal Services and Terminal Services Licensing components are installed on a Windows 2000 server. It is used to display information about current Terminal Services sessions and processes running on a terminal server.
Terminal Services Manager corresponds to the administrative tool called Terminal Server Administration on the Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition platform.
Using Terminal Services Manager
You can access Terminal Services Manager by:
Start → Programs → Administrative Tools → Terminal Services Manager |
The console tree typically looks like this:
All Listed Servers Domain Terminal Server RDP-Tcp (listener) Console RDP-Tcp#1 RDP-Tcp#2 . . . Terminal Server . . . Domain . . .
The domains are listed in a flat order regardless of their hierarchy in the forest. For background information see Terminal Services.
Tip
You should run Terminal Services Manager in a Terminal Services Client session window if you want to take advantage of advanced features such as remote control.
Action Menu
Under the Action menu you can select the following:
- All Listed Servers
Select this to find and connect to all terminal servers in all domains.
- A domain
Select this to find and connect to all terminal servers in the domain.
