Synopsis

Manages Terminal Services CALs for the domain or enterprise.

Description

This tool is only available when Terminal Services and Terminal Services Licensing components are installed on a Windows 2000 server. It is used to activate a Terminal Services Licensing server and configure licensing information.

Terminal Services Licensing corresponds to the administrative tool called Terminal Server License Manager on the Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition platform.

Using Terminal Services Licensing

You can access Terminal Services Licensing by:

Start Programs Administrative Tools Terminal Services Licensing

The console tree typically looks like this:

All Servers Server Name Existing Windows 2000 License Existing Windows 2000 License . . .  Server Name . . .

Action Menu

Under the Action menu you can select the following:

All Servers

Select this to connect to a different licensing server in your enterprise.

Server Name

Select this to activate a licensing server, install licenses, or open a property sheet to specify your licensing program and company information.
