Active Directory is, in many forms, a distributed database. It has a schema. It has data values. It is replicated throughout your organization for use by administrators, end users, and applications.

This new role provides Information Technology (IT) staffs with the ability to extend management and services to the entire enterprise through a single comprehensive view. Improved management of the enterprise is available through Active Directory, and scripts are efficient tools for managing the environment.
