Summary

Planning for coexistence between Active Directory and the other directory services in your environment is one of the important first steps in designing your Active Directory implementation. If planning for coexistence, be sure to give enough focus to the first step discussed in this chapter: identifying the stakeholders and addressing their issues with the current directory systems they have in place and what they want to get out of Active Directory after it is implemented. The major stakeholders can just as easily promote a project to success or drive it to failure.
