19.5. Conclusion

The COM+ programming model makes creating COM+ applications fairly straightforward. It maps somewhat naturally to the modern object-based programming model. In Windows 2000 COM+ is a part of the operating system and the Microsoft Transaction Service has been integrated into the COM programming model. There are great many features of COM+ and Windows 2000, but in this chapter we have merely highlighted some important features and specifications. Probably one of the most profound changes in the programming model is the integration of component configuration and interception into the core model and runtime.
