COM+, which is a part of Windows 2000, has been created to make the software developer's life easier. As we all know, systems are getting more complex, especially as we move more heavily into the distributed network application area. COM+ has the MTS (Microsoft Transaction Server) now integrated into COM, and it also provides a messaging alternative for COM calls, based on MSMQ (Microsoft Message Queue). This results in a seamless system in which it becomes almost as easy to implement server applications as to implement client applications.
