18.3. Summary

We have barely touched upon the ins and outs of COM. However, there are several good books devoted to COM, COM+, and DNA, which we will touch upon in the next couple of chapters. One just-published book that covers the details of COM, COM+, and Windows Distributed Network Architecture (DNA) is Robert Oberg's book "Understanding & Programming COM+", ISBN 0-13-023114-2. He does a great deal of work on the fundamentals of COM and COM+, and then shows how these are used in DNA to create multi-tier applications.
