IRS Resources

Various IRS forms, publications, and other resources are referred to throughout this book. All of these resources can be found online on the IRS Web site, www.irs.gov. This appendix can help you locate these resources quickly.

TIP: The IRS Web site can be searched by entering key words in the search box, such as “Form 1040.” The site also contains an “Advanced Search” feature, located under the search box, that can be used to narrow results if necessary.

All publications, forms, schedules, and related instructions can be downloaded from the IRS Forms and Publications Web site at www.irs.gov/formspubs/index.html.

Often you can locate current-year documents by entering the Web address www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/ followed by “p” for publication, “f” for form, or “i” for form instructions (if not included with the form itself), the publication or form number itself, and “.pdf”.
