DAVID MCCULLOUGH JR. IS A HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER.

Until 2012, few people would have known of him except for the fact that he shares his name with his famous father. The elder David McCullough wrote Truman and John Adams and 1776. He’s won two Pulitzer Prizes. You would recognize his voice on more than a dozen PBS films.

His son worked in relative obscurity at Wellesley High School outside Boston. Then he gave a graduation speech.
