Thumbnails are useful for displaying multiple images at the same time, especially on the Web. A perfect example is the ability to quickly view 25 photographs in a photo gallery without having to click next or wait for each large image to load. With lots of pictures to view, thumbnails can make browsing a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience.
