In Chapter 7, in the section "Beeps and Bleeps: Synthesizing Sounds with JMusic," we created musical instruments by wiring together sound-processing components with the JMusic API. To create and use our custom digital instruments, we needed to write Java code that connected the output of each unit to the input of another.
