8 Prosperity

Both my wife and I grew up in families without much money. Kez often says, ‘Even though I can afford it, sometimes I still have to convince myself it's okay to spend money on myself. I have to allow myself to deserve it.'

She once bought some towels for our bathroom but said, ‘I'm not really happy with those towels.' I asked why she had bought them. ‘Well, you know, the other ones were so expensive!' To which I replied, ‘So you buy things you're not happy with?'

We have to allow ourselves to deserve prosperity. It's a lesson I had to learn myself.

I changed when I started setting goals, making plans and using affirmations. Things started to change for me when I wrote affirmations like this, 15 times a day for 21 days:

‘I, Gary Pittard, accept and enjoy that I have received [insert production result] in [month and year], and everything I do contributes to this result.'

I started to believe in myself. When I changed my thinking, I changed my actions. And when I did that, the belief manifested. I'll always thank Bill Nasby for showing me this path.

I mentioned earlier the importance of allowing ourselves to buy quality items. I once worked with a salesperson who was struggling financially, to the point where he only had one suit, which had a torn crotch. He used to go to listing presentations and cross his legs so people couldn't see the tear.
