Law Three: Sometimes the Best Solution to a Problem Is Not to Have It

“Upon reflection, perhaps it’s not a good idea after all, it might be better to do it a different way.”

A good way to avoid project problems is, before too much time and money is spent, to radically reduce the level of risk by changing the plan or not to undertake the project.

Project problems can be: administrative, cultural, technical, financial, logistic, legislative, linguistic, the result of lack of resources or information, or Acts of God, therefore the project teams, on both sides of a contract, have to be, not only mentally and physically able to deal with them, but also managerially empowered, to either solve, or preferably, avoid them.
