It’s All Storytelling

After 20 years of teaching storytelling to executives, I’ve learned most of us were trained to use thinking habits that help us be more rational, more logical, and more scientific in our approach to work. Unfortunately, three of these thinking habits can also make you a lousy storyteller. The secret of becoming a good storyteller is to develop the ability to toggle back and forth between fact thinking and story thinking.

Specifically, you were taught the following things:

1.   The value of a tool is a function of consistently reliable results (ideally greater than 90 percent).
