About the Author

FREDERICK D. LIPMAN is a senior partner with the international law firm of Blank Rome LLP and also the president of the Association of Audit Committee Members, Inc., a nonprofit organization devoted to developing best practices for audit committees. He was a lecturer in the MBA program at the Wharton School of Business and at the University of Pennsylvania Law School. A graduate of Harvard Law School, he has more than 50 years' experience in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and initial public offerings. Mr. Lipman is the author of 13 other books, including Executive Compensati on Best Practices (John Wiley & Sons, 2008), Corporate Governance Best Practices (John Wiley & Sons, 2006), and Audit Committees (Bureau of National Affairs, Inc., 2010). He has appeared on television programs on CNBC, CNN, Bloomberg, and Chinese television as a national commentator on business topics and has lectured internationally in China, India, and Thailand. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, and other business publications. Mr. Lipman is located in the Philadelphia, PA, office of Blank Rome LLP.
