GOALS

Ask what I do for a living and the official answer is ‘run a public relations company’. Ask what that involves and one of its most important aspects is teaching young graduates to write strong copy – a process I enjoy because it gives me a sense of achievement and therefore boosts my confidence.

But my point here is about what I teach them, which centres on the importance of structuring. Such is the power of presenting your case within a logical, dynamic and compelling framework, well-structured articles can even bring mediocre prose alive. And the same is true in our quest for achievement.
