Stage One: Examine Why You Are Under-Confident

Perhaps events in your childhood gave you negative self-beliefs, or maybe you were naturally more introverted than those around you? You should also examine each of the key relationships in your early life: parents, siblings, teachers and peers. What scripts emerged in those key relationships? Did anyone undermine your confidence at this stage – perhaps by being overly-critical or by favouring a sibling or peer? Were you misunderstood or disliked, or perhaps rejected or humiliated?
