Developing Win : win Situations

Once we have true empathy with our tormentors they are no longer our tormentors. At this point we can fight back and win. And if this sounds contradictory, given the empathy we have developed, then that’s because we mostly view winning as a zero-sum game. We are taught “I win, you lose” situations from an early age. Certainly, that’s how our manipulator would view it. But it doesn’t have to be that way. We can seek a win : win.
